To our veterans, may we continually attempt to repay you daily with a life of service to our neighbors, our fellow Americans, and our countrymen. All the while remembering the Liberty you seek to defend for each of us as individuals. One's political beliefs matter not in the foxholes and trenches.

The good Lord decided he would do a little testing today.
I firmly believe that every one of us wants to make a difference, and y’all have shown it .
I can most assuredly do so much better. So this is directed squarely at me.
But we all need a little shake up now and then to realize what Christ asked us to do.
Sometimes the hard truths are raw and even sting a little bit.
I know I sure got schooled today.

Washboard Parables
After a decade of living in Central Texas, I’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to return to my native east Texas and reside again on my maternal family’s 100+ year old farm in Nacogdoches.
It’s in disrepair, but salvageable. It reminds me of so many lives I encounter, including myself. I’m on a journey to restore it rediscovering my roots along the way.
Nothing fancy, just real life, real memories, and real roots....a homeplace restored. One day at a time.
These are the stories that sustain me and give a light of Hope in a dark world.
